Congratulations to Shawnacy Barber, whose 17-06.50 vault at the Texas A&M HS Indoor competition is the 2nd-highest indoor mark for a prep athlete in US history.  As well, congratulations to Aldrich Bailey who captured 200 and 400 gold (21.14 / 47.05) - both marks are #6 indoors all-time.  Freshman Paige Hofstad won the mile (5:10.79) and 2-mile (11:17.49) to set meet records, and Devin Field for defending his long jump title at 24-07.25.

The Texas Track & Field Coaches Association exists to promote the sport of track & field in the state of Texas by developing and enhancing lines of communication with all governing bodies at the local, state and national levels.  Thus, the purposes of this association are:
1. To study and initiate proposed rules changes and make recommendations to the appropriate organizations;
2. To provide educational avenues for coaches, officials and athletes via published materials and the annual clinic;
3. To recognize student-athletes and coaches through an awards and scholarship program;
4. To recognize prominent contributors to the growth of track & field in the state of Texas through induction into the Texas Track & Field Coaches Association Hall of Fame;
